Come back at midnight on the 10th. No peeking. π
Drag the slider all the way. Go on. Find out.
Thank you for every late-night talk, every laugh, and for being the kind of friend people are lucky to find once in a lifetime.
Maybe I wasn't there for the very beginning of your story. But if life keeps letting me, I want to be part of everything that comes next the memories you haven't made yet, the dreams you're still chasing, and all the ordinary days that quietly turn out to matter the most.
I've never really said this out loud, but I'm not looking for a "better" friend, and I never will be. I don't care what anyone says a friendship should look like. To me, this one, with you, is enough. It always has been.
I don't want anything to change us. I just want us to keep getting better better at understanding each other, better at showing up for each other, better at fighting for this friendship.
And if I ever let you down, please don't go quiet on me. Talk to me even if it turns into an argument sometimes. It's the honest fights that keep a friendship alive.
There's so much more I want to say, but every time I try to put my feelings into words, they never come out quite well So I'll keep it simple: we were friends, we are now, and hope we always will be. I hope you get everything you wish for. Happy birthday, once again. π
